Tanya is married to Mark and has 2 children. With over fifteen years teaching experience, both in internationally and in South Africa, Tanya holds a number of educational and professional qualifications (BA HKE, Ind. Psych, PGCE). She received her Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from UNISA, and is currently completing her honours in Educational Leadership from North West University. Tanya taught and served at Cobham Hall International School from 2002 to 2005. From 2005, she taught at Marymount International School in London, becoming the Director of Sport in 2006. In 2009, she moved to South Africa where in 2012, Tanya took up a teaching post at Ecokidz Preschool in Ballito. In 2016, Tanya was invited to serve as Principal at Village Kidz Preschool in Salt Rock, and has since played a significant role in all aspects of school leadership: teacher recruitment, development and training, curriculum development, advancement and admission outreach, facilities development, parental engagement and pupil life. Tanya fulfilled her role of Principal at Village Kidz until December 2019, and during her tenure she implemented several strategic change initiatives, successfully improving the way in which the Village Kidz curriculum is interpreted, presented and taught across the various grades.
